I like this long rock'n roll tune that was recorded after Mick Taylor had left the band and before Ron Wood had joined them. The choice of Mick Taylor's successor had not yet been made and it was a 23 year old applicant named WAYNE PERKINS who accompanied Keith Richards in this recording. Wayne Perkins is/was an excellent guitar player and therefore, though it is not that difficult to tab his work, I found it very difficult to play his solos.

This tune is rather difficult to play anyway and the only way to succeed is to follow the lyrics, provided you know them ! The song was issued in 1976 and performed on stage then only in 1976 and 1977. It was not until the forty licks tour in 2002-2003 that the tune was heard again on stage. I have a video of the performance in the Olympia in Paris in July 2003. Mick Jagger had warned the audience ( in good french) :" tonight we will sing less known songs. The problem with less known songs is that we too know them not so well". Of course Keith Richards got lost a few bars before the solo and Jagger silenced and turned round to cast a dark glance at him but he recovered and the others followed him. Ron Wood seemed surprised to have to play the solo so early and his performance rather sounds like an impro.

So I tabbed the original recording with two electric guitars and a bass. I did not tab the 3 rd and last solo as it was almost a remake of the first one .
The rhythm guitar is tuned in open G with the 6th string removed - that is from bass to treble : (D) - G - D - G - B - D. The other two are in standard tuning.

I recorded a mp3 demo ( with somewhat clumsy solos but the notes are there ). I had first made a short version with fade-outs and fade-ins but it was very unpleasant . So this is a version truncated only after the second solo ( bridge 2), more than 3 mn all the same !, after which the music only repeats itself. With the lyrics at the end it is easier to follow (if you know the song)
